About Thomas
Born and raised in Hong Kong and currently based in Melbourne, Thomas Pang is a photographer with a strict dedication to the analogue medium.
His practice is defined by a rejection of digital immediacy in favour of the tangible, chemical process of film. Working primarily with 35mm and medium format cameras, Thomas possesses a keen eye for portraiture, specialising in capturing the unguarded, transient character of his subjects. His work prioritises texture and physical weight, treating each exposure as a deliberate act of observation rather than mere documentation.
Thomas’s visual narrative is informed by his background in moving images, having previously directed short films across both digital and analogue formats. This cinematic sensibility is complemented by his history as a classical music writer, where he specialised in crafting programme notes and synopses—a discipline that trained him to deconstruct complex emotional narratives into clear, resonant forms.
Beyond the darkroom, Thomas brings a rigorous analytical perspective to his work as a current Juris Doctor candidate at La Trobe University. He is currently open for portraiture bookings and editorial commissions, applying his distinct analogue aesthetic to create cohesive visual stories for clients.

HELLO
Welcome to Thomas C137 Photography, where visitors step into Thomas's very own Dimension C-137. In this photographic realm, each click captures a unique universe, just as infinite and diverse as the multiverse itself. Much like the concept from the animated show Rick & Morty, this is where his images come to life, with each frame telling a story from a different corner of the multiverse. Explore the analogue wonders of his lens, where time stands still, and emotions are etched onto film, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary.
